Corbett was the representative for Pennsylvania’s 18th congressional district and was a Republican. He served from 1963 to 1972.

He was previously the representative for Pennsylvania’s 29th congressional district as a Republican from 1953 to 1962; the representative for Pennsylvania’s 30th congressional district as a Republican from 1945 to 1952; and the representative for Pennsylvania’s 30th congressional district as a Republican from 1939 to 1940.
