Rose was the representative for New York’s 26th congressional district and was an Anti Masonic. He served from 1829 to 1831.

He was previously the representative for New York’s 26th congressional district as an Adams from 1825 to 1827; and the representative for New York’s 26th congressional district as an Anti Mason from 1823 to 1825.
