He was previously the representative for Massachusetts's 1st congressional district (1847-1849); the representative for Massachusetts's 1st congressional district (1845-1847); the representative for Massachusetts's 1st congressional district (1843-1845); and the representative for Massachusetts's 1st congressional district (1839-1843).
