Former Representative for Tennessee’s 4th District

Hogg was the representative for Tennessee’s 4th congressional district and was a Republican. He served from 1817 to 1819.

Legislators who enslaved Black people

Voting Record

Missed Votes

From Dec 1817 to Mar 1819, Hogg missed 7 of 106 roll call votes, which is 6.6%. This is better than the median of 15.5% among the lifetime records of representatives serving in Mar 1819. The chart below reports missed votes over time.

We don’t track why legislators miss votes, but it’s often due to medical absenses, major life events, and running for higher office.
