He was previously the representative for North Carolina’s 7th congressional district as a Federalist from 1799 to 1801; the representative for North Carolina’s 7th congressional district as a Federalist from 1795 to 1799; the representative for North Carolina’s 7th congressional district as a Federalist from 1793 to 1795; and the representative for North Carolina’s 5th congressional district as a Federalist from 1791 to 1793.
