He was previously the representative for New Jersey’s 7th congressional district as a Democrat from 1887 to 1889; the representative for New Jersey’s 7th congressional district as a Democrat from 1885 to 1887; and the representative for New Jersey’s 7th congressional district as a Democrat from 1883 to 1885.
