Former Senator for Arkansas

Sebastian was a senator from Arkansas and was a Democrat. He served from 1859 to 1861.

He was previously a senator from Arkansas as a Democrat from 1853 to 1859; and a senator from Arkansas as a Democrat from 1848 to 1853.


Sebastian faced an allegation of disloyalty to the Union. On Jul. 11, 1861, the Senate expelled him, 32-10.
