Vandever was the representative for California’s 6th congressional district and was a Republican. He served from 1889 to 1891.
He was previously the representative for California’s 6th congressional district as a Republican from 1887 to 1889; the representative for Iowa’s 2nd congressional district as a Republican from 1861 to 1863; and the representative for Iowa’s 2nd congressional district as a Republican from 1859 to 1861.
